
Dance Fitness Classes
Since 2006 Community Fitness has been renowned throughout Seattle and the broader Pacific Northwest for its dance fitness program. We offer a variety of formats through our regular classes as well as special events and workshops.
Whether you’ve got two left feet or are a professional, these classes are for those who just love to dance! Nothing quite compares to the power and pleasure of dance. Once that beat drops, everything else disappears except you, the music, and the dance floor. You’ll be left with a smile, sweat, and wanting more.
Regardless of age, gender, dance experience, or fitness level, our dance classes will help you feel safe to let loose and discover greater self-confidence. Our priority is to provide a friendly, supportive environment allowing for booty-shakin’, self-expression, and laughs. We encourage you to move at your own pace and learn more as you groove more.

Afrobeats & Dancehall combines mixed styles from Afrobeats, Salsa, Lyrical and Contemporary dance movements. It focuses on building strength and endurance joyfully and celebrates culture through a wide range of dance styles. Let's sweat and vibe out with the rhythms of African, Jazz, and Caribbean musicality!

BollyFit fuses Bollywood dance (dance from the Indian Film Industry) and fitness movements together to create a fun high-energy, dance fitness workout. Choreographies include styles from all over India as well as some western dance forms like hip hop, jazz and sass. Come burn lots of calories and unleash your inner diva while dancing to some groovy, energetic tunes!

Dance Club is a highly addictive and fun workout all set to a variety of energetic songs of top forty radio, old school hip hop, current pop, funk and even a little burlesque. Medora designs each song of her playlist with creative, easy-to-follow choreography along with intricate add-on moves. It is a heart-pumping workout where you’ll have a smile on your face and the time will fly by as you are inspired by all the energy around you.

Join well-known instructor and trainer Chris Daigre in his signature dance class. DanceDaigre is an energetic discovery of modern jazz, Latin & soul-inspired choreography with a focus on dance foundations, technique and a gentler modality to get you moving and grooving, engage your mind and ligthen your soul. Participants can choose comfortable, dance-friendly footwear or go barefoot.

Dance Fitness classes match radio, club and hip hop beats with simple, sassy, power-filled moves in an inclusive, explosive and poppin’ journey. Choreography is easy-to-follow and repetitive so you can focus on working hard and having fun. This class blends intensity, fun, and all the ‘bad bish’ moves to help you evolve unapologetically and dance yourself to a stronger you!

DancePowered is an advanced dance fitness class featuring hit music and fun and dynamic choreography that will keep you challenged and inspired. This class has a heavy hip hop & grooves modality, and you'll typically get a little of everything music-wise in this class, including sassy, sexy, hip hop/r&b & throwback. DancePowered promotes a friendly, supportive and fun environment. All levels are welcome and encouraged to move at their own pace – you’ll learn more each time you come!

And hey, it doesn’t hurt that the movements are great for strengthening your core, glutes, and thighs! You don’t have to twerk like Beyonce or shake like Shakira to take Ruby (though we might try on occasion). Ruby is for anyone! Regardless of gender, dance experience, or fitness level, this class is meant to help you feel secure in your body, let loose, and discover self-confidence, expression, and exercise.

Unlock the power within and embrace your authentic self with Ruby Fire! Join us for a dynamic experience that combines sensual floorwork with the Ruby class you already love. Engage in fluid sequences that incorporate transitions, powerful and graceful moves that build core and lower body strength while enhancing your mobility and confidence.
We’ll start with an extended warm-up, followed by a traditional Ruby class, ending with 20 minutes of floor work, and a relaxing stretch. Remember to bring kneepads and wear comfortable dance clothing to fully enjoy your experience! This unique dance class invites you to awaken your senses and connect deeply with your inner spirit through movement.

This is a festive class to celebrate life as it is, in the moment, with invigorating music and dance. This class is for all levels as you can learn foundations and additional techniques as you excel. Expect fun energy, follow the rhythm, let loose, and have fun!
